Hello.
I have seen many people who had upgraded to ios 5 or ios 6 had encountered a charging problem. When the usb cable had been plugged in to the charging port the iphone displays a message saying "Charging is not supported with this Accessory". Even i experienced this problem after upgrading to IOS 6.
Well i got to say that this is really a problem in your phone and if you want to know what are the main reasons for this problem to occur, please have a look at my post which i have posted recently. (Click here to go to the post)
I managed to find out a solution which worked for me, so yea go ahead and try it you might get lucky as well.
So let's get started :-
Step 1- Connect your iphone to itunes (make sure you have the latest itunes installed)
Step 2- If you are in IOS 5 i strongly recommend you to upgrade to IOS 6 if you are already on IOS 6 skip this step
Step 3- Do a restore to your Iphone simply by connecting your iphone to your pc/mac , then go to itunes and click restore.
Step 4- After the restore process is done, make sure you don't use any back up from your previous IOS meaning setup your iphone as a new iphone.
That's it now the charging problem should be solved . I did this to my iphone and it worked pretty well and this method is permanent.
Note:-
Make sure you are connected to the internet when you are restoring
Please don't use any back ups after restoring
Even after the restoring if you still get the error, just remove the cable and plug it back to your iphone and it will solve the problem.
Thanks for reading! (make sure you read my other guides on Iphones)
Have a great day!!
