         Tips when shopping on Ebay

People who shop on ebay should know few tips to be sure that you are safe and you get the perfect item.

Well lets get started :-

1:) When you go to ebay and search for an item , make sure you always set your preferences to ebay top rated sellers only. Top rated sellers are people who have been gaining high reputation on Ebay by giving their best service. Top rated sellers are trusted and you can always depend on them if you have any problem with your item.

2:) Before you bid or do  a buy it now on an item make sure that the seller ships to your country. To check this you can simply click on "Shipping and payments" and check whether that your country is in the list.  Mostly the sellers ship world wide but there are some sellers who ships world wide but also exclude some countries (meaning they don't ship to some countries).

3:) This is  a major tip when buying an used item on ebay or any other site.  You should read the description about the item thoroughly and find out whether there are any problems (some items are water damaged , have cracks etc).

4:) If you are satisfied with the item you can now bid or buy it now straight away (if buy it now is available).

Well that's it for now ill add more tips to this and get you all updated.

              Ebay Bidding Tips

In this guide you will get to know more about bidding on ebay.

Ok then lets get started:-

1:) When you search for an item which you want to buy from an acution make sure you set your buying  preference to "auction".  When you select auction only it will only show the items which are for sale only on auctions.

2:) Next this is if you are in a hurry to get an item from auction you need to sort the items displayed as "time ending soonest". This will sort all the items listed and it will first display the items which are going to end very soon.

3:) After selecting an item from the list and make sure like i said in the other guide ,read the description and make sure the seller ships to your country.

4:) Now when you bid , make sure that you only bid within your available budget. To place a bid simply enter a price more than the current one which is shown in your left hand side of the screen.

5:) After placing a bid you can select the maximum bid amount you can pay to that item, meaning you can place your maximum bid so that if someone bids more than you and your maximum bid is higher what the other buyer has placed your bid will automatically increase than the other buyer's bid.
This is really a good method to win auctions i have won many auction in my life by using this method.

6:) The best time to place a bid is in the last ten seconds of the auction. This is because when you bid in the last 10 seconds other buyers will not have time  to react and put a higher bid more than yours.

NOTE:-

You are bidding on ebay means you are  signing a contract that if you win the auction you have to buy the item.

If you aren't going to pay for the item after the auction ends an unpaid case will be opened after 7 days of non-payment and even after that you still hesitate to pay, you will get an unpaid item strike to your account.

If  you get 3 unpaid item strikes within one year your account will  be banned from ebay and you will no longer be eligible to shop on ebay.

If you get 2 unpaid item strikes, you will find hard to shop ebay as many sellers set their preferences to "block buyers who have 2 or more than 2 unpaid strikes from bidding or buying".

So make sure you bid the correct amount and make sure you pay for the item if you win the auction.
Read my other guide to see how to cancel a transaction for an item you won or how to cancel a bid you placed.

Thank you for reading my post. That's it for now ill update this guide from time to time and keep you updated with latest bidding tips.

Have a great day!

Canceling a Transaction vs Unpaid Item Case

I have seen that many people who shop on ebay doesn't know the difference of canceling a transaction case  vs unpaid item case.

So i thought of doing a guide about it.

Lets get started :-

Canceling a Transaction Case.

  • This type of a case means the seller or the buyer has run in to a problem and one of them wants to cancel the  transaction.
  • In this type of a case  both the parties (buyer and seller) agrees to cancel the transaction and both the parties will not get affected. (seller gets the listed money)

Note:-

If the buyer declines to cancel the transaction, the seller will not get the money which was used to list the item on ebay. So make sure before canceling a transaction the seller should talk to the buyer.

Unpaid Item Case.

  • This type of a case means the buyer doesn't pay for the item after wining an auction.
  • The seller can file an unpaid item case against a buyer if the buyer doesn't pay for the items within 7 days after auction ends.
  • The final outcome of the case will give an unpaid item strike to the buyer's account and the seller will get back the money which was used to list the item on ebay.

Note:-

If an unpaid item case is open you have 3 days to pay for the item if not you will get an unpaid item strike to your account.

Well that's the difference between a canceling transaction case and an unpaid item case. Make sure you read my "Canceling transaction guide on ebay", to know how to handle this type of a case.

Thank you for reading.

Have a great day!
